LONGVIEW — On a sunny day in August 2015, Gov. Jay Inslee stood in a grassy park next to the Port of Kalama and extolled a plan to build one of the world’s largest natural gas-to-methanol plants on the banks of the Columbia River.
With cold temperatures and a little snow, it actually felt like a real winter in the lower elevations of Southwest Washington on Monday morning, and the National Weather Service said the weather could continue that way into the rest of the week.
